Pricing

Pricing is based on breed, hair length, coat condition, temperament, age, and grooming history. Please be advised a surcharge will apply if your dog is matted, has fleas, or has not been groomed within the recommended grooming schedule for their breed. All prices shown are guide prices only. 

Appointments

Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment as appointment times are not flexible. Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming will do its best to accommodate late arrivals as we appreciate clients may be late at no fault of their own, however, we also have a duty to honor appointment times for all clients. Clients that arrive more than 15 minutes late, may result in cancellation of their appointment. 

Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming reserves the right to charge a late cancellation fee equaling 50% of the scheduled service for missed appointments due to client lateness.

Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming will confirm appointments at the time of booking and 24 hours prior to your appointment, however, please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment date and time.

Picking up

Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming will advise the client via text or phone call, 15 mins before their pet is ready. Clients are required to pick their pets up in a timely manner in order to avoid disruption to other clients. For the safety of all our clients we try to avoid mixing pets that are not from the same family.

Cancellations and No Shows

In the event that you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming requires no less than 24 hours notice. Failure to provide 24 hours notice will result in a late cancellation fee equaling 50% of the scheduled appointment.

Failure to provide a minimum of 3 hours notice is considered a no show and will result in a no-show fee equaling the total of the missed  appointment plus prepayment before rebooking. Three or more last minute cancellations/no-shows will result in removal from Sudsy Paws client list.

Health concerns and senior pets

All clients are required to inform Sudsy Paws about any health issues and/or concerns at each appointment. Knowing about your pets health allows Sudsy Paws to take proper actions to provide a plan to safely provide grooming services that caters to your pets needs.

Grooming services can sometimes be stressful, especially for senior pets with health issues and/or can expose hidden medical issues and aggravate pre-existing conditions. Because senior pets have a greater risk of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort only to avoid added stress to your pet.

Matted pets

Matting refers to densely tangled clumps of fur in a pet's coat where loose and live hair become embedded into large masses. Matting is a painful condition that reduces blood flow to the skin and can lead to health concerns such as infections or skin irritations. In the event that your pet is matted, the only option might be to shave the coat short. Brushing out matts can be painful for your pet. Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming will always put humanity before vanity and only do what is best for each pet that comes into the salon.

Fleas and Ticks

Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming does not accept pets with fleas. If fleas are discovered after the grooming process has started, clients will be charged a fee of $100. This fee covers the cost and time of flea elimination. Pets with fleas are washed twice in flea shampoo and thoroughly combed out using a flea comb. In order to reduce the risk of fleas spreading, your pet will not receive a haircut or any trimming. They will only receive the flea bath, towel drying and flea combing. Once your pet is completely free of any fleas we can reschedule the hair cut.

Sudsy paws Dog Grooming will take proper action to reduce the spread of fleas. If a pet is found to have fleas during more than one appointment, the client will be removed from our books.

If Ticks are discovered, they are correctly removed and placed in a plastic bag for the owner to decide if they would like to have the tick/s sent for testing. Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming will inform the owner about any ticks they find upon pickup. In the event that Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming is unable to successfully remove the head of the tick, the owner will be informed and advised that a vet visit might be necessary.

Aggressive Behavior

It is extremely important that all clients inform Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming of any aggressive behavior your pet might have. Failure to disclose this information puts both your pet and the staff at risk for injuries.  Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming will accept pets with known aggression depending on the severity. However, if at any point during the groom we feel it is unsafe to proceed, the owner will be contacted to pick up and will be charged for services already performed. Please note that this means your pet could be sent home partially finished.

If a pet  bites their groomer, resulting in required medical care, the client will be contacted to pick their pet up immediately and will be charged the full price of their appointment no matter how much of the service has been completed.

Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming reserves the right to refuse service to any pet they feel poses a risk to others.

Use of Muzzles

Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming only uses muzzles when absolutely needed. The use of a muzzle does not harm your pet but allows the groomer to continue services when a pet is misbehaving. 

Accidents 

Although accidents are very rare, there is a risk when handling pets. Although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, grooming equipment is extremely sharp and possible accidents can occur, including (but not limited to): cuts, nicks, scratches, or quickening of the nails. In most cases, this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified. If Sudsy Paws Dog Grooming  feels it is an accident requiring veterinary attention and the pet owner is not on-site, we will seek immediate veterinary care for your animal.
